About this place

Rennes is a typical city of Brittany with its medieval character. The traditional colourful half-timbered houses line rue Saint-Georges and the Place du Champ-Jacquet. Place de la Republique is the heart of the city. That is where the Palais du Commerce de Rennes can be found. Every Saturday morning, a market is held in the Halles Martenot dating from the 19th century. The parc du Thabor with its French garden, orangery, rose garden and aviary offers superb walks.
