Cabarets in Paris: The Ultimate Guide to Help You Choose Your Show

Cabarets are places where you can have dinner while admiring a show or a revue. In Paris, they became famous during the 19th century, during the Belle Epoque despite being considered as places of debauchery. Today, they are still as popular as they always were -if not more- as some of them have become world-famous and founded a part of the popularity of the Parisian nights. However, there are so many of them and so many different kinds of cabarets that it is sometimes difficult to choose the show or revue you want to go to. Here is a list of the Cabarets in Paris -including their characteristics- which will help you make your pick.

Welcome to one of the smallest cabarets of France’s biggest town. The first step is to step in. Once inside, before you can even see the performers, the show has already begun! All around you, the walls are made of authentic stone built by the actual Templars (I mean it). Therefore, this tiny room contains nearly 800 years of history. Next step is, obviously, the show. This is when the performers will dazzle you with comedy and songs. Nothing excessively original, just an age-old tradition refined and perfected over the years. You will be able to enjoy the show all the more with a glass of champagne in one hand and a platter of savory snacks in the other.

Due to all the decorations, including red curtains a rustic atmosphere and wooden surroundings you will most definitely feel like you are under a circus tent. But this is not the only thing. The show is also based on circus performances: puppeteers, magicians, trapeze artists, contortionists, acrobats… but you will also be able to choose between visiting this circus or a cabaret full of illusions in which you can find any -and every- kind of magic. The cabaret proposes concert nights and circus activities.

The show takes place several times per week but there are no predetermined dates, so you should call the cabaret directly in order to prepare your evening in the best possible way.

But unlike a circus, you can still enjoy the show while sitting eating a freshly cooked meal and delicious drinks.
