If you were planning on stopping by in Paris this summer, or for the 2024 Olympics, be prepared to fork out a little more if you were planning on visiting the capital’s most famous landmark.
Paris City Hall recently approved an increase in Eiffel Tower ticket prices, effective June 17, 2024.
This decision aims to fund the essential maintenance and renovation work at the iconic Parisian landmark.
Currently, the Eiffel Tower entry tickets, which include elevator access to the top of the tower, cost EUR 29.40 (USD 31.89).
From June 17, the ticket prices will see a 20% hike to cost EUR 35.30 (USD 38.29). The same ticket will cost EUR 17.70 (USD 19.20) for children between 12 and 14 years old, whereas for kids from four to 11 years of age, the tickets will cost EUR 8.90 (USD 9.65).
A decade ago, a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower was EUR 14.00 – now it’s EUR 35.30. Is this iconic view worth the steep climb in price?
