Summary of our tips:
The cheapest solution: Buses 350 or 351 at €6
The fastest solution: RER B (about 40 minutes)
The simplest solution: RER B
1) RER B (train service linking Paris to the suburbs)
The RER B is accessible at terminals 2 and 3 as well as the sub-terminals either via a shuttle that links the terminals or by foot. If you are at the terminal 1, there is a shuttle called CDGVal that will get you to terminal 3 for free, and from there, you access the RER B much more easily. The tickets cost about €10 and are available in the ticket machines inside the terminal. You will have to take the direction towards Paris. The RER takes about 40 minutes to get to the center of Paris and runs from every day between 4.46 am and 11.56 pm.
Time: ~40 minutes
Frequency: Every 10-20 minutes
First train / last train: 4.46am / 11.56pm
Destinations at the center of Paris: Gare du Nord, Châtelet, Saint-Michel
Price: €10.30
Our opinion: Although it is often overcrowded during rush hour and not always very clean, it is, however, very fast, not too expensive, and practical.

2) Buses
Buses 350 and 351: This is the cheapest option as both buses cross the suburbs of Paris and frequently stop on the way. Both buses depart from terminals 1 and 2 (there is a shuttle to get from terminal 3 to 1 in order to take both buses) every twenty minutes during the week and every half-hour on weekends, between 6 am to 10.30 pm. The ride can last up to two hours depending on the time of day. Line 350’s last stop is the Gare de l’Est, while line 351’s last stop is Nation. The ticket will cost you €6 and you can buy it directly on the bus (make sure you have enough change).
Time: ~ 2 hours
Frequency: Every 20/30 minutes
First bus / last bus: 6am / 10pm
Destinations at the center of Paris: Nation, Gare du Nord
Price: €6
Our opinion: Although the ride is very long, the price of the ticket is the cheapest out of all other means of transport.

Autocar Air France: For a more comfortable option, Air France set up a bus service at your disposal. There are two distinct lines even though they both depart from terminals 1 and 2. Line 2 goes to the Arc de Triomphe and leaves every half-hour between 5.45 am and 11 pm. As for line 4, it goes all the way to Gare de Lyon and runs between 6 am and 10 pm. There is a ticket machine inside the airport but you can also buy a ticket online in advance to save a bit of money. The price for a one-way ticket online is €18 for an adult and €13 per person if you are in a group of 4 or more. It is advised to buy a two-way ticket in advance because it will only cost you €31 per adult.
-Autocar Air France Line 2:
Time: ~ 45-60 minutes
Frequency: Every 30 minutes
First bus / last bus: 5.15am to 11pm
Destinations at the center of Paris: Champs-Elysees, Eiffel Tower
Price: Starts at €18 per person
Our opinion: The price is a bit high and the ride is a bit long but you are assured that it is a high-quality bus. Furthermore, it will get you directly to the touristic heart of Paris and is quite fast compared to some other transport options.

-Autocar Air France Line 4:
Time: ~ 50-80 minutes
Frequency: Every 30 minutes
First bus / last bus: 5.30am to 10.30pm

-Roissybus: It links directly from airport Charles-de-Gaulle to the center of Paris in an hour (until its last stop in the Opera district) and runs between 6am and 12.30 am every 15 minutes until 8.45 pm, and every 20 minutes until 11 pm. A one-way ticket will cost you €12.50 and you can directly buy the ticket on the bus. Make sure you have enough change.
Time: ~ 60-75 minutes
Frequency: Every 15-20 minutes
First bus / last bus: 6am to 12.30am
Destinations at the center of Paris: Opéra
Price: €12.50
Our opinion: Among the other buses, the Roissybus is not the fastest but it is cheaper and has the advantage of running every 15 minutes while offering the comfort of an air-conditioned bus.
There are also night buses: the N140 and the N143 that run every day and depart from the three terminals. The bus N140 runs between 1 am and 4 am and comes every hour whereas the N143 runs between midnight and 4.30 am every half-hour. Both buses go to the Gare de l’Est. The tickets cost €6, which you can buy on the bus.
-N140 (night bus)
Time: ~ 80 minutes
Frequency: Every hour
First bus / last bus: 1 am to 4 am
Destinations at the center of Paris: Gare de l’Est, Gare du Nord
Price: €6
Our opinion: This bus only runs four times but at least you have the option to travel back in the middle of the night without having to book a hotel in a hurry or find a cab. Furthermore, this bus links the airport to the stations Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, from which numerous trains and subways are accessible.
-N141 (night bus)
3) Taxi
You can find cab stations at the three terminals and, to make sure they are official, you just need to check that it has a yellow light on its roof. The journey will cost you €50 if you’re coming from the right bank and €55 for the left one (the prices are fixed).
Time: ~ 60 minutes
Frequency: Depends on the availability of the cab
Hours: Times depend on the areas in Paris but cabs drive constantly
Destinations at the center of Paris: Wherever you want
Price: €50 (Right Bank) €55 (Left Bank)
Our opinion: The two flat fees are expensive and you take the risk of getting stuck in traffic and having to wait in line for a long time, but you get to choose where you want to stop and you can get dropped off at your hotel. You are sure to have a means of transport 24/7 with the comfort of a sedan.
For more information about the trip, click here.
-Motorcycle-taxi: Although it is not a frequently used transport method, the motorcycle-taxi remains practical and fast when you do not want to wait for a regular cab. You can book one in advance and the price of the fare to get from the airport Charles de Gaulle to the center of Paris is €95. The motorcycle-taxi takes about 50 minutes to get to the center of Paris depending on traffic. For more information, you can visit Citybird’s website or Motocab’s website.
Time: ~50 minutes
Price: €95
Our opinion: If you want to reach the center of Paris rapidly, it is a good option, especially as the motorcycle is comfortable and solid. However, you will not be able to carry big luggage because there is not much space on the vehicle and this solution is better for someone traveling alone.
4) Airport Transfer through a private service with chauffeur
A private transfer service is a fast way to reach the center of Paris from the airport. You will first have to pre-book your ride before landing and then a chauffeur will wait for you in the hall with your name on a sign. Your journey will cost you more than a taxi ride but you will be in a comfortable premium vehicle and will not have to wait in line to get a taxi. For more information about prices, click here.
Time: ~60 minutes
Hours: Anytime you want
Destinations at the center of Paris: Anywhere you choose
Price: Starts at €85 (for 1 to 3 people)
Our opinion: The price is high but regular, regardless of where you want to go, you do not have to wait and the cars have air conditioning and are comfortable.
5) Super Shuttle
It is a private or shared shuttle that will drive you to the center of Paris. The price depends on the destination as well as the number of passengers. When it comes to how long the ride lasts for, it is between one hour to an hour and a half depending on your destination. For more information and exact prices, click here.
Time: ~60-90 minutes
Hours: Whenever you want.
Destinations at the center of Paris: Wherever you want.
Price: Starts at €33 for the first passenger, then €7 for the additional passengers.
Our opinion: The Super Shuttle will take you either to the hotel or to your place and can contain up to 8 people for a reasonable price. The first passenger pays full price and the others only have to pay a fraction of the price. It is ideal for large families.
