“For fans of heritage”
This medieval architectural complex covers 65 hectares of land in the Chevreuse valley, in the Rambouillet national forest.
The abbey remains open to the public who wish to visit it, but we strongly recommend that you stay there in order to soak in the enchanting atmosphere of the place and to enjoy this exceptional setting.
Over the course of the restorations, many elements have been restored to their former splendor and today bear witness to the grandeur of the Cistercian abbey. Here are the most beautiful rooms of the establishment:
- The gothic living room with its huge fireplaces
- The cellar, which became the music room
- The splendid monks’ hall with two bays vaulted with ribbed ceilings and columns with sandstone capitals
- The former refectory of the converses, which today hosts the excellent restaurant “la table du prieur“.
As for the rooms we advise you to opt for a higher range than the classic room (it is in those that you will have the most beautiful decorations): prior room, castle, Rothschild, or suites.
❤️ We love: The French garden, the swimming pool and the lake of the domain
💰 Price: from 130€/night (in high season)

All suites have a private Jacuzzi or whirlpool bathtub, and the Indian suite also has its own hammam.
We strongly recommend that you dine at the hotel’s restaurant, under the magnificent glass roof of “La Table du Clos“. Bistronomic dishes are made with fresh and local products.
