How Many Days Do You Need to Visit Disneyland Paris?

As you probably know, Disneyland Paris is divided into two separate theme parks (they are right next to each other, though): the Disneyland Paris park and the Walt Disney Studios park.

Regardless of which you choose, you’ll want to allow as much time as possible to visit them. This article will tell you how long you can expect a visit to take.

In a hurry? Here’s a summary of the article:

  • 1 day: In one day you’ll have time to visit Walt Disney Studios and go on a couple rides at Disneyland before going home. You can also see Disneyland’s most popular attractions if you’d rather.
  • 2 days: If you can’t choose between the two parks, two days is more than enough time to visit both Walt Disney Studios and most of Disneyland’s biggest (and longest-queued) attractions. You could also experience the entire Disneyland theme park (but not Walt Disney Studios).
  • 3 days: If you have enough energy and motivation, three days is more than enough to visit all the attractions in both parks.

How Long Does it Take to Visit Both Parks?

Experiencing all that both parks have to offer in less than three days is as impossible as visiting a galaxy far, far away.

Even three days might not be enough if you are visiting with children or if you want to experience the park leisurely and enjoy the beautiful scenery, among other things.

If you know exactly what you want to do and you stick to a select number of attractions, you should be able to visit both parks in two days, or even just one day if you really speed through them.

How Long Will it Take to Just Visit Disneyland?

Two days should be plenty to visit the whole park. If you already know what rides you want to go on and what attractions you want to visit, you should be able to do everything in just one day.

Disneyland is huge (over 50 acresmore than 40 football fields) and the number of activities you can partake in is innumerable (well, more like 34).

Here are the main attractions:

  • Hyperspace Mountain
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Blast
  • Alice’s Maze
  • The Magic Castle, which is Disney’s most iconic symbol

Before entering the park, we recommend planning your day. There are approximately 300m between Adventureland and Discoveryland.

While this might not sound like much, imagine how long it would take to travel that distance four or five times because you didn’t plan your day correctly.

We recommend visiting attractions that are close to each other first rather than running all over the park to your favorite ones.

You should also take queues into account. While they are not all as long as the one-hour queues for a mid-afternoon ride on Hyperspace Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain, most of them will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes – definitely longer in the summer, possibly less in the winter.

How Long Will It Take to Just Visit Walt Disney Studios?

A full and fast-paced day should be enough to visit this park in its entirety. Again, it is possible to spend even less time here if you choose your attractions.

Walt Disney Studios is smaller than its magical counterpart. It is only 23 acres (about 20 football fields) and has 13 attractions.

Once again, we recommend at least visiting the most popular ones:

  • Parachute Jumping
  • Crush’s Coaster
  • Ratatouille
  • Remy’s Adventure
  • Twilight Zone of Terror

With Pixar being less than 200m away from the Avengers HQ, your total walking time will be much less.

There are also fewer tourists, so queues will be shorter. If you factor in the fewer attractions as well, you’ll probably spend much less time in this park.

F.A.Q.

Is one day enough to visit Disneyland?

Visiting Disneyland in one day is a futile endeavor. No matter how good you are, there’s just too much to do. But if you plan in advance and use fast passes, you’ll have no problem visiting the attractions you are most interested in.

Is it possible to visit both parks in a single day?

That’s even less feasible. But it is possible to visit Walt Disney Studios in a single day. Walt Disney Studios also closes one or two hours before Disneyland. If you move quickly, you’ll have time to both visit Walt Disney Studios and catch a couple attractions at Disneyland, especially since the park begins to empty toward the end of the day.

How long will it take to visit both parks?

Ideally, we would allot one day to visit Walt Disney Studios and one or two days for Disneyland. If you want to move around more calmly, enjoy the shows, not get up at daybreak, etc., we recommend planning to spend four or five days in both parks.

A few tricks to get the most out of a one-day visit

  • Plan in advance
  • Buy your tickets online to avoid waiting at the entrance
  • Use the official mobile app to see the waiting time for each attraction in real-time
  • Since Walt Disney Studios closes earlier, visit it first if you want to go to both
