Going to the theater in Paris may seem expensive at first, but is it really? It is true that some plays can be expensive if you want to be in the front row, but what about plays in general?
We wanted to find out the real price of a theater ticket in Paris so we searched for you. We investigated and compared the prices of over 100 plays and here is the result! 🎭
We’ve carried out our own study
To find out how much a theater ticket costs in Paris, we have carried out our own study by comparing the tickets of many plays.
Our study includes all kinds of plays (contemporary, classical, etc.) in more or less prestigious theaters located in all arrondissements.
We decided to only include theater tickets that were on a fixed price and not on sale, as to not skew the result of our study.
Our team checked the ticket prices of more than 100 plays in theaters of all arrondissements to calculate the average price of a theater ticket in Paris. Here is the result!
Average price for a theater ticket in Paris
The average price for a theater ticket in Paris is 32.26 euros. The cheapest ticket costs 10.95 euros for the play Augustin pirate du nouveau monde at Théâtre Le Ranelagh in the 16th arrondissement. The most expensive theater ticket in Paris costs 89 euros for the play The Lion King at Théâtre Mogador in the 9th arrondissement.
The average price of the cheapest theater tickets is 22.74 euros and the average price of the most expensive theater tickets is 41.78 euros.
