Is Paris truly an expensive city for tourists? To find out, I conducted an investigation and analyzed the prices of 100 tourist attractions, including museums, amusement parks, castles, monuments… With so much to see in Paris, I’ve put together a summary table of tourist visits to consider.
The average price for a tourist visit in Paris and in Île-de-France is €20 at full price. At a reduced price, the average is €12.08. Some activities cost more than €100 while some are free.

Who can benefit from reduced prices?
Most often, people who can benefit from the reduced prices are those under 26, under 18 and students, it always depends on the activities and the sales conditions.
As you can see there is a difference of €7.92 between the full price and the reduced one which is quite significant, it will allow you to save money if you are eligible.

You will have to pay an average of €13 at full price if you want to visit and enjoy one of the 15 most visited tourist sites in Paris. Amongst them:

How much does it cost to enter a museum in Paris on average?
The average price of a museum visit in Paris at full price is €13 and €9 if you are eligible for the reduced price. The musée Grévin is the most expensive one with entries at € 26. Conversely, 6 Parisian museums are free.
The free museums are: the Musée du Parfum, the Musée de la Vie Romantique, the Musée Carnavalet, the Musée de la Légion d’Honneur and the Musée de la Libération.

To book tickets or not?
When you visit a museum there are often people queuing up wanting to buy tickets as well, you can get skip-the-line tickets if you want to avoid that.
