Luxury hotels
1) Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Ile***** – Strasbourg’s finest
Place Saint-Pierre Le Jeune, 67000 Strasbourg
10/10 : France Hotel Guide’s Expert rating
District: Downtown
This is a hotel in the Petite France district that is definitely not cheap in terms of class and style.
The rooms have a sleek style and a sober but modern decoration, combining cold colors (a lot of mauve in the bedding) and warm colors (beige, red and chocolate in the rooms and pink in the common rooms). All of these colors create a serene atmosphere, in a setting where everything is set up for the well-being of the guest.
After a good night’s sleep (or a quiet day in your room), why not stop by Terroire and Co, a restaurant where innovation seems to be the key word. After that, you could sip cocktails and glasses of champagne (yes, this is a five star hotel) at the bar Le Link.
You will find also at your disposal:
- a gym to work out some sweat
- a souvenir store to bring back home a memory of your trip
- a grocery store
We like: the central location of the establishment, at an 8-minute walk from the Notre Dame Cathedral and a 5-minute walk from the Temple Neuf Church.
We love: having a Sunday morning brunch on the terrace.

And for even more serenity, don’t miss the massages provided by the establishment’s masseurs.
We like: the Parc de l’Orangerie, a large green space dating from the 19th century, which houses the Josephine Pavilion, is only 500 meters away. It is also in front of the Palais de l’Europe.

It is in an old inn from the 16th century (it has been renovated, so rest assured) that this four star establishment is housed.
The immaculate white sheets and walls will transport you to a world of softness. You will sit on Louis XV style armchairs. But don’t worry: at the Cour du Corbeau MGallery Sofitel, there are no frills: the hotel has a discreet charm, with its furniture elegantly hemmed in.

8/10 : France Hotel Guide’s Expert rating
District: Robertsau
Du côté de chez Anne… Such a name is an invitation to come and stay in this hotel, as if you were spending a weekend in a friend’s house.
This establishment rents out charming and cozy guest rooms.
Moreover, you will feel even more at home because the number of rooms (and therefore, the number of guests) is limited.
You can choose from 5 rooms:
- the Pâquerette guest room
- the Pivoine room
- the Bouton d’Or
- the Bleuet

The decoration of each of these rooms is unique, but they all have one thing in common: an imposing headboard (imitation white coral, red velvet, etc.) and an upper part of the bed made of faux fur.

As the name suggests, this hotel’s theme is roses. Roses are very abundant in the Alsatian gardens.
The decoration and the design of the rooms are set up around several themes: for example, several rooms were thought in an artistic way:

And don’t forget the suite, which can accommodate up to five guests.
This beautifully decorated hotel is located near the city center and the famous Strasbourg Cathedral, which is at less than a 10-minute walk.

10) Hotel Suisse** – Past times’ Strasbourg
2-4, rue de la Râpe, 67000 Strasbourg
9/10 : France Hotel Guide’s Expert note
District: Downtown
This place has a warm, simple and friendly atmosphere, just like typical Alsatian houses. This establishment is made up of beams and half-timbering in an Alsatian Stub which is located on the first floor.
The place that houses this beautiful hotel located in a tourist area dates from the 17th century.
A traditional Alsatian house, close to historical monuments, where the rooms, from the most modest to the most expensive, are all equipped with a fan to ensure a pleasant temperature in case of strong heat.
A small plus for this hotel, especially for a two-star hotel, is that it includes a pastry school. You will be able to attend its courses on booking.
We like: the wall decoration of the rooms: white leaves and hearts decorate the white or red walls of these rooms with old and elegant furniture.
We love: Christophe Felder’s pastry classes.
