France Hotel Guide is pleased to bring you its selection of events in France for October. Cars will be taking pride of place in Paris with the Mondial de l’auto (motor show), while music certainly hasn’t been neglected, with two superb jazz festivals. Meanwhile, those with a sweet tooth should definitely pay a visit to the chocolate show, sports lovers can enjoy the Vendée Globe, and as ever everyone will find something of interest in our shows & exhibition section. |

 The FIAC is a key event on the international artistic scene. This 35th event is set to be held at the Grand Palais, in the Tuileries gardens and in the Place Carrée du Louvre, from October 23-26. It will be welcoming 186 of the world's most prestigious galleries. At the same time, a number of other events are also being held including the Jeff Koons retrospective at the Château de Versailles or "Picasso et les Maîtres" (Picasso and the great masters) at the Grand Palais’ National Galleries.

 JVC festival
This year, the JVC festival will be bringing various parts of the capital to life, with a new event programme and plenty of surprises in store. Take a number of globally recognised artists, add a sprinkling of talented but little-known artists, mix in a generous contribution of inventive artists, add a touch of blues and give it all a good shake in Paris' clubs to get the party well underway!

 The Salon du Chocolat
The Salon du Chocolat will open its doors to all chocolate lovers in October from 29th to November 2nd. It will host nearly 130 chocolate-makers from around the world in an exhibit area measuring 14,000 m2. From the bean to the bar, from planting to palate, the Salon du Chocolat will show visitors the cocoa lifecycle. Enchantment and surprises are thus to be found at this new version of the Salon.
