Chalons-en-Champagne is famous for its hillside vineyards that produce the best champagnes. In the cellars of Joseph Perrier, situated underneath the Gallo-Roman chalk pits, you will be able to visit the galleries where millions of bottles of champagne are stored. The banks of the Marne offer some superb walks. You will be able to see Chalons-en-Champagne from a different angle, the history of the river, its fauna and its flora. Every summer, Chalons-en-Champagne organises the Festival des Musiques d'ici et d'ailleurs (Festival of Music from Here and Elsewhere) over a period of 7 weeks, with 300 artists appearing at numerous concerts. The 3 Jards of Chalons-en-Champagne are the favourite green spaces of the local population. The Grand Jard, the Petit Jard and the Jard Anglais offer a taste of nature in the city centre.
