For August, France Hotel Guide brings you its selection of events in France. Paris will be getting into the summertime mood for its Paris Plage event (Paris Beach) when the banks of the river Seine will be covered with sand.  Rock en Seine
Each year the Rock en Seine festival invites along a number of well known international artists. For this sixth event held on August 20, 28 and 29, more than 30 concerts are scheduled with the billing including Amy Winehouse, R.E.M., Justice, Rage Against the Machine and many more.

 Paris Quartiers d’été
"Paris Quartier d’Eté" is a festival that offers a variety of shows: dance, music, theatre, circus and it takes place each year between August 10th and 15th. During this period, all the public theatres in Paris are closed and the only way to see dance is to visit "Paris Quartier d’Eté".

 Napoleon: Symbols of power under the Empire
This marvellous exhibition brings together no fewer than 250 items, pieces of furniture, gold and silverware, ceramics, textiles and wallpaper at the great nave in the Decorative Arts Museum, providing visitors with a chance to discover the symbols of power during the reign of Napoleon.
