The September 2007 newsletter from France Hotel Guide provides an occasion to review the major events to be held in France in September.
For a start, there is the Rugby World Cup, which is the most waited-for sporting event of the year in France.
September 2007 will also be the time of major fairs in Paris, a very special anniversary and the European Heritage Days, the American Film Festival in Deauville, the Marseille International Fair and also a surprise : a contest. To take part, you need to register.

A season dominated by rugby.


The Rugby World Cup will be the sporting event of the year in France.
From 7 September to 20 October 2007, 9 towns will host matches and receive the supporters of the 20 selected teams.
Paris, Marseille, Toulouse, Lyon, Lens, Nantes, Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux and Montpellier are ready to welcome the players and their fans till the final at the Stade de France.

Versailles. A royal name and a château that is famous all over the world.
Up to 30 September, the Grandes Eaux Musicales de Versailles will be held in the French style gardens designed by Le Nôtre.
As part of the Versailles Festival, the gardens of the château will be lit up for "La Face Cachée du Soleil", an exceptional fireworks show about the secret life of the Sun King.

American Cinema is given top billing in Deauville.
That picturesque Normandy town will hold the 33rd American Film Festival. As every year, the greatest American stars will walk down the Promenade des Planches to present their films to an exceptional panel. For ten days, you can see screenings of the competing films and discover independent American cinema like you have never been able to before. European Heritage Days.


This is the cultural event of the season, and will be held on 15 and 16 September.

This year's theme is the promotion of trades relating to conservation, restoration and refurbishment of the cultural heritage.

The Marseille International Fair awaits you in the Parc Chanot.
La Canebière, the old Port, the Olympique de Marseille, the Mediterranean...
That is the idyllic setting for the 83rd Marseille International Fair. From 21 September to 1 October, 1300 exhibitors will display the newest trends in a number of areas.
