Tourist Information
Located in the 10th district of Paris, the Gare du Nord train station is the largest station in the SNCF mainline network. It serves the North of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and part of Germany.
The northern suburbs of Paris are also served by the Gare du Nord, so much so that the Gare du Nord is the largest European station and the second largest, globally, in terms of number of passengers. This state of affairs was enhanced by the arrival of the TGV (North of France), Thalys (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) and of course, the Eurostar (Angleterre).
In fact, the latter required the construction of its own particular inner area in the Gare du Nord. Major renovations were performed.
Passenger traffic, the many metro, bus, and RER lines, the countless restaurants, cafes, and hotels around the Gare du Nord have all made this a very important area which attracts thousands of visitors and tourists (for pleasure and business).
France Hotel Guide offers hotels near the Gare du Nord: luxury hotels, boutique hotels, charming hotels, and cheap hotels.
