In Paris's 5th arrondissement the Jardin des Plantes, the Botanical Garden, is waiting to be discovered. Guy de la Brosse and Jean Herouard, Louis XIII's physician, created this garden in 1635, originally to study botany for the benefit of physicians and pharmacists.
