Tourist Information
In Paris's First Arrondissement, near the Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Garden (which was incorporated into the Louvre National Museum in 2005) dates back to 1664, when the landscape gardener, André Le Nôtre, redesigned it with views over what would become the Champs Elysées.
The site dates back to 1564, when Catherine de Medici commanded the construction of the Tuileries Palace. Today, the Tuileries Garden makes an outstanding location for a stroll with views extending from the Louvre to the Grande Arche de la Défense, while the thousands of trees that make up the garden are accompanied by many statues for you to contemplate.
