Tourist Information
Since it opened in 1887, the Cigale auditorium has undergone many changes. Originally a cabaret, all the great names have performed on its stage, from Mistinguett to Arletty and including Jean Cocteau and his surrealist plays. In 1940, La Cigale was converted into a cinema and offered Parisians one of the best selections of Kung-Fu films in the city. From 1987 on, the new Cigale, renovated and redecorated, became a venue for shows once again, opening its stage to all, whether recognised French performers or international singers just starting their careers. La Cigale, today a listed building, awaits you at 120 Boulevard Rouchechouard in the XVIIIth arrondissement of Paris. http://www.lacigale.fr/
