La Coupole is a very famous Parisian brasserie, which enjoyed its hours of glory in the Roaring Twenties. Opened in 1927, La Coupole was created by two famous restaurateurs, Ernest Fraux and René Lafon. No less than 32 artists, including Fernand Léger, worked on the Art Deco-style decoration of this mythical place. The greatest names have sat at the tables of La Coupole. Picasso, Giacometti and Hemingway came here to try the lamb curry and the quince compote, dishes that are still just as delicious today. Hidden in the basement of La Coupole is Le Dancing, a nightclub which organises themed evenings.
