Tourist Information
The Géode was inaugurated on 6 May 1985, one year before the opening of the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. Situated in the Parc de la Villette, the Géode is France's best attended cinema. This 400-seater over-sized cinema has a giant hemispherical screen on which large format films are projected. Its spherical shape enables to the audience to be plunged completely into the film, to be at the heart of the image. In order to offer its audience exceptional and unique works, the Géode produces its own films. The Géode cinema is also special because of its very particular architecture. It is a building that stands out in the Parisian landscape. http://www.lageode.fr/
