The artist Antoine Bourdelle lived and worked in Paris for a large part of his life. When he envisaged creating a museum devoted to his work, he quite naturally decided to set it up in his Parisian studio. But Antoine Bourdelle had imagined things on a big scale and was unable to complete his project before his death. It was therefore only in 1949 that the museum was finally completed and inaugurated. In the gardens and studios where Bourdelle lived, you can admire the plaster castings, bronzes and marbles statues produced by the artist. Among them, "Penelope" and the "Dying Centaur". The Bourdelle Museum contains more than 500 works, including not only his famous sculptures, but also paintings and pastels. For younger visitors, the Bourdelle Museum offers an educational workshop where children, after visiting the museum, can make their own sculptures.
