Tourist Information
At 26 Boulevard des Capucines, in Paris's 2nd arrondissement, near the Place de l'Opéra is the Olympia Music Hall, the oldest and most famous Parisian music hall still in operation.
The Olympia was founded in 1888 by Joseph Oller. It has played host to the leading French and international performers, in the worlds of music, ballet, circus, operetta, and all show business – and still does so today.
The Olympia has never been closed down although it had been threatened with demolition until it was designated a cultural heritage site in 1993.
Over 50 years, 3 billion visitors have attended the Olympia.
Located halfway between the Place de l'Opéra and the Place de la Madeleine, a visit to the Olympia is an opportunity to explore the many restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.
