Tourist Information
The Place des Fêtes ("Festival Square") belongs to the 19th district.
It was created in 1836 and incorporated into Paris following the annexation of the community of Belleville, its name derived from the fairs that used to take place at Belleville.
During the 1970s, the Place des Fêtes was entirely transformed by the building of apartment blocks.
A refurbishment project later made it into a pedestrianized square.
