Tourist Information
The Port-Royal district owes its fame to the famous Port-Royal Maternity Hospital.
The Hôtel de Clagny, a mansion built by Pierre Lescaut between 1566 and 1569 and later converted into a convent, closed in 1790 and was reopened in 1795 under the name of the Maternity Hospice.
The Port-Royal Maternity Hospital moved to new premises in 1966 but the buildings of the former abbey were preserved.
