Tourist Information
In the 1980s, the Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, wanted to create a concert venue in Paris that would be dedicated to rock and popular music. This led to the creation of the Paris Zenith at the Parc de la Villette, which was undergoing a complete rehabilitation at that time. At the time this concert hall, inaugurated on 12 January 1984, was the only one of its kind. The two architects who designed it, Philippe Chaix and Jean-Paul Morel, endeavoured to create a space that offered perfect visibility and acoustics. The Paris Zenith can seat up to 6,000 people for all sorts of events. Concerts of course, but also meetings and sports events. http://www.le-zenith.com/
